History of Incidents

Since the start of the full-scale conflict in Ukraine, a number of Russian military personnel have been targeted within Moscow.

This latest event follows other notable incidents, such as:

  • General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
  • General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a device hidden on a scooter was triggered from afar.

While a source from Ukraine previously attributed Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are never formally acknowledged as a matter of official stance.

The conflict has increasingly seen shadowy operations reaching into the heart of the Russian capital.

The probe into General Sarvarov's death remains underway.
