Barcelona to Host Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
