Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, During Regional Counterattacks.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity close to the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported debris landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
