Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities expressed divergent reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering provocative statements that were broadly criticized by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan described the comments as "shocking" and remarked they revealed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser could have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
