The incident led to the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
